Mo i Rana offers restaurants and bars to entertain your conference guests or clients – try the steak at No.3 Restaurant & Bar just opposite. But the star attraction is the natural beauty of northern Norway. Stroll down to the fjord to see Norway's answer to the Angel of the North, Havmannen, a 60-tonne sculpture by the artist Anthony Gormley.

Pack your hiking boots and head north out of town for some spectacular landscapes. About half an hour's drive away you can explore the illuminated caves of Grønligrotta on a guided tour. Or travel a little further to Marmorslottet – or 'Marble Castle' – a fairytale landscape formed by the glacier's meltwater. Closer to home, you can simply step outside at night for a view of the Northern Lights and an experience you'll never forget.
