Our city has something for everyone. Here are our top tips for things for you and your family to see and do close to the hotel.
Kulturen
Kulturen has activities and things to do for all ages. Kulturen consists of two districts in central Lund which are full of cultural houses and garden environments for you to visit. Go into the buildings and see what life in the city and in the countryside was like from the Middle Ages to the 1930s. There's usually a lot going on at Kulturen. Festivals and traditions such as Children's Day and Halloween are celebrated here, and something for all ages is offered. Smoke from the fire pours out of the workshop, and the blacksmith works in public. When you get hungry, there is a restaurant as well as a charming café in the park for a coffee break.
Lund Cathedral
The cathedral in Lund is the most visited church in Sweden. It opened in 1145 and is today regarded as one of the top attractions in Sweden. Several events are held here every week. The cathedral has a huge astronomical clock from around 1425 that plays twice a day and in the crypt which dates back to 1123, you will find Finn the giant.
Högevall
Take your family on a soaking wet adventure atHögevall swimming baths. There's everything here for those looking for thrills and spills. Waterslides over 200 metres long and the awesome wild rapids. If you prefer to take things a little easier, you can swim in the pool or relax in the Jacuzzi. There's a jungle-themed paddling pool for the very youngest to splash around and play in.
Vattenhallen at Lund University Faculty of Engineering
Vattenhallen is filled with experiences and experiments. It is a science centre with strong ties to Lund University. Vattenhallen is open to the public on weekends and during school holidays.
Skåne Zoo
This is the world's largest zoo containing Nordic animals. Over 1,000 animals can be seen here, both wild and tame. There's also a lovely park, perfect for playtime! The zoo is located in central Skåne, just outside Höör. We highly recommend setting aside a day at the weekend to enjoy all there is to explore here!
Outings
Our hotel is ideally located as a base for activities throughout the region. It only takes 15 minutes by car to Malmo and 50 minutes to Copenhagen. Copenhagen offers Experimentarium City science centre, for example, as well as Tivoli Gardens amusement park and The Blue Planet – a fantastic new aquarium. In Österlen you'll find Tosselilla summerland, with its wonderful waterslides, amusement rides and much more! When you return after your fun-filled day, we offer an evening meal in our restaurant from 6pm – 9pm.
