Comfort Hotel® Helsinki Airport

Great location, extremely helpful staff and superb breakfast! Beds are comfy! They also have a gym. Airport is within 5 min walk. Reception speaks excellent English. The room has an unusual design. The view from our room was also nice. We liked the idea of donation clothes in the rooms

Located steps away from terminals. Very easy to find, given clear signage. Often airport hotels lack clear signage and can be difficult to find. The ease of finding this hotel was a pleasant change. Lady at reception is an asset to the hotel. She was efficient and fast, yet very warm and welcoming. When I requested a glass of ice she was very nice about it. She gave us clear information about breakfast. The public rooms are lovely. The alcove seating in the hall leading to the elevators looked so cozy. There is a washer, dryer and ironing board right next to the elevators. Detergent and iron are provided. There is an ice water dispenser at the reception bar with citrus-infused ice water. Breakfast was an extravaganza, a massive spread of high-quality foods. Quality and quantity, a rare combination, was present. The decor of the restaurant is striking and beautiful. The restaurant where breakfast is served is located in the adjacent Clarion Hotel. There were delicious pre-prepared omelettes, fruits, various breads, cheeses, fruit jams, baked beans, potatoes, etc. There were 2 flavors of very good smoothies on offer. Unfortunately, the orange juice dispenser was broken or out of juice. An extreme rarity in European accommodations, the bacon (streaky bacon for our British friends) was good. Excellent, if relatively speaking. Rooms are small but well-designed. The decor is modern with a retro feel to the bathroom. The air-conditioner worked well. There are no mini-fridges in the rooms. The beds had 2 pillows each, not the stingy one pillow per bed often encountered in European hotels. The pillows were nice and fluffy. There’s a large tv. This is a new hotel designed with thoughtful details to further comfort and convenience for guests. It is sad that all the positives are let down by housekeeping. We noticed the wood floor had some debris here and there but it’s difficult to get a wood floor 100% perfect. The tiled floor at the entrance already looked gritty but, there again, that’s difficult to keep spotless. However, after showering and then walking just a few steps on the floor found our feet darkened with dirt. The pillows smelled of sour sweat. We brushed our feet before getting in bed but discovered the sheets had grit at the bottom. I’m almost certain linens were not changed between stays. This made for a sleepless night as I was so repulsed. I should have requested a room change but who knew if I’d encounter the same problem? Plus, it was after 1am with a flight out at 7:30. This hotel is excellent and I hope this review is taken as constructive criticism. I would definitely stay again if housekeeping is tightened up. One worker cutting corners really damages a beautiful hotel experience.

Awesome staff! They saved my flight from Rome to Palermo, thank you all in Comfort hotel and also Clarion reception. The hotel is new, clean, really "comfort" hotel. My room was 8th floor and I had awesome view to the airport. Everything in room was great, bed, linen, shower. I slept peacefully. No voices from outside the room. If you don't want or have no time for breakfast, you don't have to pay for it. Options you have is also takeaway or enjoy awesome breakfast in Clarion next door.

I liked everything from the moment I understood that I even do not need to leave airport, because hotel is in there. I did have a long and late trip and the reception girl was just so nice and comfy, the bad was clean and soft, felt like sleeping on the cloud. The breakfast starts at 4 am that's very thoughtful and comfortable. Then you just go to airport.

The Comfort Hotel at Helsinki airport is one of the more budget friendly options. I have stayed at the Comfort Hotel at Copenhagen airport a few times and the Helsinki version is very much the same. The rooms are basic, rather small, you get a bed to sleep in and that’s that. The main reason for staying here is catching an early flight, so most guests will not even need more than that. The windows are covered by odd metal shades so the view is a bit like being in prison. Breakfast is served in the slightly more pricy Clarion hotel and reflects the standards of that hotel = it is very good indeed and very mich worth the price. I am not gluten-free myself, but I could not help noticing that the tiny little corner marked with ”gluten-free” in most other hotels was this time an entire table full of goodie bits to choose from.
