When architect Erling Viksjø (1910-1971) saw his masterpiece in natural concrete rise in all its brutal splendor at Økern in 1968, the building was deemed to be an ideal headquarters for 4,000 employees working at Standard Telefon and Kabelfabrik, not least thanks to the great views. Today, the building has been refurbished to include new and modern interiors that still respect the original style. The hotel is able to accommodate a large number of guests, making it ideal for all kinds of different conferences and events.
