Very good hotel. We had 2 different rooms, both with a nice few over the water and mountains. We saw the northern light feom our bed! Rooms are small, even the expensive rooms. Staff is very helpfull. For breakfast there is a lot of different things to eat. All the attractions are on walking distance.

This could be a great hotel but it looks trashed. The walls need a good scrub. Sofas and chairs are stained. The flooring looks old. The rooms aren’t cheap so I expected more. That said, our room was great (suite with a corner window) and had a wonderful view over the Tromso wharf. We had a great view to watch the snow falling. Bed was quite comfy. Aircon very drying (like other hotels). Breakfast was good with plenty of choice (the omelettes were delicious!).

I stayed two nights in a deluxe level room. Shower had a slippery floor but no hand rails or safety bars. It felt dangerous to use. The bathroom had no hooks for clothing or bathrobe. The desk in the room was very small. The desk chair was uncomfortable and could not be adjusted. The room had sufficient bench space for luggage but no place to put clothes if taken out. Closet had no shelves. My room's heat and ventilation was not functioning though staff did provide a portable heater. The minibar has very little space for storage of food.

Excellent staff throughout the hotel, the bar area was lovely and the restaurant was also great, slight bug bear that the roof top bar is only open on the weekend which wasn’t much good when we were there mid week. Breakfast were amazing too, great location would highly recommend.

We booked a 180 panoramic view junior suite for our stay and it was worth every penny. The view was spectacular. Housekeeping were amazing and the room was always perfect each day. The staff at breakfast, Social, reception, Skybar and the Lounge were helpful and attentive. The hotel is so well located for excursion pick ups, views and generally for shops and restaurants. Everywhere was in easy walking distance. The hotel facilities were great, would have been nice for the Skybar to be open for more days as the view was great, and a good place to have a nightcap. Hightly recomned
