Hotel C Stockholm

My friend and I stayed at Hotel C Stockholm for a couple of nights. It is located right next to Arlanda Express Train Station, so it’s very easy to get to from Arlanda Airport. It is also one metro stop away from the old town and located in a shopping district with lots of shopping choices. The staff are friendly and helpful, we were checked in quickly and given a pleasant room. The room was fairly spacious and had very comfortable beds. Breakfast was okay, with options for continental and cooked food. The only thing I would really say is the walls are quite thin, and the door to the staircase really slams shut quite loudly. However, this is minimal as most people do tend to use the lifts. The hotel lobby is lovely and modern, with a sophisticated looking bar. Overall, I would recommend staying here, the convenience of the location overshadows any minor drawbacks.

Stayed here for 4 days for a wedding anniversary. We booked a standard room through Norwegian Airlines, not the hotel but were shocked that there were no windows in the room as 8 on each floor are internal rooms. My wife is claustrophobic so we had to pay approx. £20 extra per day for an upgrade. The new room was rather small but ok and comfortable with a good bathroom. Despite this the staff were lovely and the hotel was good with an attached ice bar, a restaurant and a wide ranging breakfast with good gluten free options. Recommended but avoid an internal room. Very handy for the Arlanda Express to the airport which is right by the hotel and near the main sights with Gamla Stan less than a 10 minute walk.

I mainly wanted to write in with a tip for fellow guests arriving by bus or train into Cityterminalen or Stockholm Central: Follow the signs to Arlanda Express, go down to the platform, and there will be an exit out onto the street, right next to Hotel C, saving a 5-10 minute walk around the block to get to it. Hotel was fine. Nice lobby, helpful staff. There was an issue with our booking (through British Airways Holidays) where the staff thought the room wasn't yet paid, but on showing a printed copy of the BA confirmation they went away to check and presumably found the reservation and pre-payment we had made months in advance. Room was a little on the small side but had most amenities (modern bathroom, good size safe, TV). We had an internal view room and the window did thankfully open to let some cooler air in. The addition of Air Con would bee a welcome improvement for the future. Final tip for travellers is there's a late night Max Burgers restaurant right next door. Overall a good hotel, great location for public transport, and I would stay again - perhaps not in the heat of summer, and I would personally email in advance to check my reservation has gone through successfully (I saw at least one other review on here from someone who used a third party site and it sounds like their room type did not transfer successfully onto the hotel's system).

Booked sight unseen from Australia, this hotel is well located next to the central station & has a casual informal vibe. The lobby is alive with arrivals as well as an active bar open from 3pm. The young staff are efficient & we got to our room quickly with little fuss. The rooms are small but well equipped but the TV has few English language channels.. Our 5th floor room had a view of part of the adjacent station. Breakfast is served in a large, open area & offers a generous range to suit all tastes. Good cereals, fruit, a range of milks & breads as well as the usual eggs, bacon & cheeses & meats. Overall, a friendly, unsophisticated hotel that meets most needs pretty well.

Spent 4 nights here in a superior queen room and really appreciated the location - just a few steps away from the Arlanda Express platform, and with everywhere we wanted to go easily reachable on foot. Though the room furnishing was fairly basic, it was clean, comfortable, there was a decent shower and, above all, it was quiet. Our room overlooked the courtyard behind the hotel. My only real criticism would be that you had to more or less lie on the floor to operate the safe. Breakfast was always pretty busy but there was plenty of choice and the food was good. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation. Didn't venture into the Ice Bar, but enjoyed a few games of shuffleboard in reception. Overall, a good value hotel.
