Clarion Collection® Hotel Katajanokka

Warm welcome on arrival from Richard who was very knowledgeable of what the hotel and local area had to offer. Rooms spacious, warm and well appointed hospitality tray, plus the added benefit of refrigerator. Bathroom with underfloor heating, large fluffy towels and Rituals toiletries (my favourite)! Lot of variety to choose from at breakfast from cold cuts to bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, hash browns, baked beans and pancakes, fresh fruit, different breads, porridge and sweet treats. Tea, coffee, fruit juice and water all on tap. Fika was choice of hot drink and cake. Evening meal consisted of soup, salad and a main course, during our 6 days we always managed to fill up on what was on offer. Would we go back - yes would love to return and this hotel would be our first choice. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

We were very happy with the helpful reception staff for whom nothing appeared too much trouble. The rooms were warm and very comfortable, ours had the added bonus ofa sauna which was excellent. We were disappointed with the food, in particular the breakfast since the hot food was at best lukewarm and the rice porridge appeared to have been made with water rather than milk.

Great location in a quiet well-to-do district of Helsinki. Housed in a former prison to add to the experience. Package includes breakfast, fika (basically coffee and cakes) and a light supper. Super friendly and professional receptionists. Excellent choice for breakfast. Room was great, a bit cold in the afternoon but they have extra radiators. Very handy for the Viking line terminal and tram no4 stops right outside!

This historical hotel is a must in Helsinki. Great location, excellent breakfast and a super helfull staff. During our check in we were received by lady which gave us a brief about our room history and about the building. We loved to be imersive in the history and give us a plus to our staying.

Very handy for the ferry terminal if coming from Helsinki. Tram stop No 4 outside. A lovely choice for something a bit different. So lucky to get an early check in after ferry arrival, allowed us to go and explore quickly. Very nicely renovated and appointed nice reception staff. Lovely room with tea and coffee making available. Good curtains easily drawn for the high windows. Breakfast very nice on the lower ground level. Only point to mention is the eating area is still quite dark and could do with a couple more spotlights. Evening meal option is quite basic.
