Clarion Hotel® Bergen Airport Terminal

I stayed at the hotel on the night of December 30. It was so cold in my room that I had to sleep in my clothes and my heavy winter jacket. It was too late at night to complain and I was exhausted. In the morning, I complained at the front desk and I was told that I would not have to pay for my stay - but I was NOT given anything in writing. The desk clerk said I would have to take it up with Booking.com through which I’d made my reservation. The clerk admitted that, between Christmas and New Year’s, they don’t heat the whole building. When I wrote to Booking.com to ask for a refund. they told me to contact the hotel. I’ve been going round in circles. I posted my complaint on the hotel’s Instagram account but that account has disappeared or I’ve been blocked. WHAT A DISASTER!!!

One night stay due to cancelled flight. Frontdesk female was quick and professional. Room on 4 floor was very nice, large, open and bright. Bathroom a bit fancy with plenty glass walls. Great wifi, okey tv channels. Great restaurant/bar, and early breakfast was good. Highly recommend hotel. Easy short walking distance to airport.

Amazing hotel. Everything was the best. This was my business trip, and prefer to stay in this hotel. The rooms was taking good care. The reception staff were amazing and very polite. Everything was the the best. Thank you.

Helpful and very kind reception personnel. Eaven at busy time they provide full assistant with nice smile on their face. Professional and fast service. Especially thanks to receptionist Liza for open mind, nice talk and help for our work group.

This hotel is a severe security risk! The night clerk gave a key to a stranger and that entered my room a bit after midnight, while I was sleeping. The uninvited stranger, who was completely unknown to me, entered and approached the bed. I awoke and yelled and screamed and he left. When he entered the room he walked past my 2 pieces of luggage, so his violation appeared to be intentional. He said that the night desk clerk gave him the keycard. Note that the doors do not have any other safety devices, such as latches or door hooks. I was upset and terrified. When I reported this to the desk clerk she said she was 'sorry'. I feel lucky I wasn't accosted or robbed. Note also that the rooms are very spartan. No coffee maker or bottled water. Lots of overpriced food & drink at the refrigerator. The room rate was 2,154.20 NOK (195 USD) & and was clearly overpriced for what you receive. I will never, never stay at this hotel and brand again and urge extreme caution if you are planning to do so.
