Hotel Oleana

We had a suite and it was very spacious with an edgy design. The bed was very comfortable with a fluffy comforter. The beautiful tub is separate from the shower. I definitely would take time and have a soak. The room has a coffee maker and an electric kettle with coffee and tea. There is a wonderful European breakfast with a lot of food choices, including gluten food options. The restaurant is nice with a few food options. The food was is very tasty and as a hotel guest, you get 15% off. The hotel is also well situated and everything is walkable.

The place was beautiful and walkable to all locations including the waterfront, forts, restaurants and the train stations. Very convenient. The location is really pretty and across the theater. The complimentary breakfast was really good in the morning and check-in checkout process was smooth. The staff was very courteous. Only suggestions to the hotel policy ( not due to the staff as they are only following instructions) - If guests request for early check-in either say no in case the rooms are not ready or accommodate if the rooms are ready. In my case I cam in two hrs before check-in time and it was raining terribly outside. They mentioned that the rooms are ready but I will pay an extra 100 NOK for every extra hour I come in early. That's not a very nice policy especially when I was checking out at 7am in the morning the next day and it was really bad weather. I would have been still ok if they had said they simply don't do early check-in and said No. Just did not like that they were charging you for a 2 hr early checkin, I am still giving it 5 star as this was related to the hotel policy and not the staff and the level of service I received.

Best placement. Centeal. Short way to everything. Good Staff. Smiling and excellent service. Superb room. Been here twice before and can revommend this hotel. Will definately Come back to Oleana for my next stay in Bergen.

This is a great hotel in a great locaton in Bergen. Located about a 5 minute walk from the end of the tram (from the airport). Unbelievable breakfast. Rooms were clean and quiet. Check in was flawless.

stayed at the Hotel Oleana with a group in August. One morning, I laid out some clothing and noticed a pair of jeans was missing when I returned. I spoke with the manager and was told they would check with the housekeeping staff. After hearing nothing, I asked again. Upon checking, I was told the most ridiculous story. The cleaning lady said she found my jeans stuffed in the trash can, and they were full of holes. Not knowing what to do, she asked a member of the bar staff to verify whether she should throw them away, which she then did without consulting me. I told the manager they were brand new, never worn, and bought specifically for this trip. The hotel manager promised compensation on August 4, 2023. Since then, I have sent 12 emails, each time receiving a reply promising to do something or asking for more information. I've provided them with every piece of information they've requested, but they will not send payment. They insist they need an IBAN, which I told them the US does not participate in. I have offered them multiple alternative methods to repay me, none of which they have done. They reply to every email I send but never follow through with their promise to repay me. I advise everyone traveling to Bergen to avoid this hotel as the risk of theft is high, and the hotel will not uphold its promises.
