Comfort Hotel® Karl Johan

We were greeted by a very fiendly and helpful girl at reception - when we got to our allocated room it looked like the beds had just been vacated so we returned to reception and were given an upgraded room with an apology and smile. The location of the hotel is great - about 5 min walk from train station. Breakfast was really good with great choice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and what really impressed us was that we had a sauna booked in the harbour area and needed a towel to sit on and another for changing which the girl at reception provided when we asked about buying them. The staff provided helpful advise to all our queries - they deserve 10 out of ten for service.

I was in Oslo for work and not knowing the city, tried to find something reasonably central. I liked that this hotel is modern, no-frills, and walking distance from all the important things - a train that gets you to the airport quickly, shopping, food, and the harbour. I returned on a second trip later in the year and it was every bit as comfy and affordable. Great little spot!

Spacious room than I expected. Clean and modern. I'm just missing a skohorn in the room, but it's not a big deal 😅 Location is in the middle of the city. I will definitely come back here in the future.

Booking the room was very easy, welcoming staff in the front desk, comfy and warm rooms since it was cold rainy day. The best part was easy to find located in the middle of the city with buses and trains few hundred meters away. Great breakfast menu.

We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Norway holiday from 13-28 Feb. The room is a little small but was fine for the 2 of us with 2 big suitcases The bathroom was spacious and our 2nd visit the bathroom had more packing space for toiletries Breakfast was really nice and a big variety Probably one of the biggest plusses is the location in Karl Johan street. The main shopping street and also has lots of attractions like the Royal palace, parliament, national theatre etc. City hall , Nobel peace prize centre, opera House, munch museum about 10mins away. The trams and busses are about 150m away and the trains about 200m at Oslo central station. This includes train to Bergen or Vlam should you visit to visit The staff at reception were all very friendly and helpful and a special mention to Maria who was a star. Even though she was new she was really helpful in giving us directions etc We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again should we visit Oslo
