Clarion Hotel® Energy

The rooms given to us were not what was advertised. We paid for rooms with single beds and instead were given rooms with a double bed and an uncomfortable fold out sofa bed. As we clearly stayed in our booking, we were 4 adults who required 4 beds, not a family with 2 children. We specified we wanted 2 rooms with single beds.

Best breakfast ever! The hospitality of the staff is very nice and kind! We asked for 3 single beds as preference at the booking and received one double bed, a couch (like a queen size bed) and a single bed. It was better than expected! Awsome! The breakfast has the amount of varieties of foods you can ever imagine, even caviar, mushrooms salads, yogourt, eggs, salsaches, salamis, breads, energy shots of ginger and honey. Nearly everything you can imagine!

Hotel is a typical modern, Nordic offering - rooms are OK, but nothing special and have the usual twin duvets even in double rooms. Front desk staff are really friendly and very helpful - the best asset the hotel has. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. However, there are two significant downsides: 1. The WiFi in my room was poor - almost impossible to stream anything, really only suitable for email, basic surfing. I expect better - much better - these days 2. If you come by car, be ready to pay to use a car park that's a long walk and a flight of stairs away. This is ridiculous for a modern hotel in a suburb

This was our second stay in the Clarion Hotel Energy this year, just as great as our first visit. Lovely hotel and atmosphere. Best breakfast I’ve ever had anywhere in the world. Clearly an environmentally conscious hotel which is good to see and no surprise in Norway. Staff are welcoming.

Stayed here many times over the years and always been happy. If anything is wrong staff are more than happy to make it right and to be honest that's not often. Clean room and nice fast transport links to the city center.
