Avalon Hotel

Great location – less than 30mins from the airport on the Flygbussarna, get off at the Kungsportsplatsen stop and it’s literally across the road. Also across the road from the Tourist Information centre. Easy to walk around to majority of places from the hotel, including Haga district. Loads of great restaurants nearby. Had a twin room on the 5th floor – very spacious and clean. Bathroom was big too, with plenty of space to put personal toiletries, although they provided nice toiletries. Great design with unique decoration throughout. Buffet breakfast provided in the restaurants (great for dinner also!) – lots of items to choose from both hot and cold and great selection of teas. Staff friendly and very helpful.

Welcoming staff at the reception, and the room was ready before check-in time. Bonus! Great room with a view to Saluhallen. Some noice during the evening due to the restaurants (there are many of them close by the hotel - which is great!), but no problem to have a good night of sleep. Clean room, good breakfast. Shopping area just outside the hotel with a lot of stores. Perfect location.

FANTASTIC service - that about sums it up. We had a great experience during our family visit: best location, beautiful rooms, great service in the bar, good breakfast and a truly amazing service by the employees in the reception. Our car started to unexpectedly leak oil while visiting Göteborg, the helpfulness and support of the receptionists was extraordinary. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, we will surely be back!

From booking to checking out it was on top notch. I have now stayed at Avalon Hotel more than 120 nights during the last years and I have always realized Avalon as the very best design hotel in Gothenburg. Personal, very service minded, top quality everywhere - you arrive with a smile and you leave with an even broader smile.

Great look and feel, amazing trendy style, with a high-level of quality, taking the environment into account and superb food. Also the staff is super friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to anybody.
