Lovely building and decoration in a central location but if you want a good night’s sleep, I’d book one of the more modern hotels. No air conditioning which means one has to sleep with the windows open even in May, which means lots of outdoor noise, which is unbearable with cars racing around until 2am. Beds uncomfortable with a big gap between two single beds they put together to make a “king” bed. We had to stuff duvets to stop our toddler from falling in between the beds. The extra sofa bed is very uncomfortable with the thinnest of mattresses. Out of all the hotels I’ve stayed in the past three years with two kids, the only one that has charged for 150ml of baby milk (40SEK).

Dear Voodoo78, Thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate to read that your visit did not meet your expectations and the standard that we wish out guests to experience when they stay with us. We are happy to read that you liked our central location and our beautiful historic building. I do not know your room number, room type och reservation, so I can not reply to the comments about two single beds or the standard of the sofa bed. We do have rooms with double mattress and we are also able to give an extra mattress to bed sofas if the guest wish so. I understand there was a misunderstanding regarding the milk for the baby, normally we do not charge for a small amount of milk for a baby. The hotel is extremely outdated. The interiors look old and poorly maintained. The breakfast buffet is very average, the only good thing were the pancakes. Croissants and all fresh bakery stuff were cold and didn’t taste fresh. The housekeeping service was very poor as there was only one lady managing an entire floor. Even after the room was cleaned the lady left the dirty towels on one of our couches! The room is dark and has no view! We went for a family room and yet the room looked small. The linen is clean. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. Usually most scadanvian good and new hotels have very stylish interiors, this was just an old hotel in the middle of the city. Perhaps the location and the lady at the reception were the only two plus point. Wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t stay here again.

A very nice Helsingborg stay in the heart of the city. I got a very nice welcoming and also perfect upgrade to De Luxe room by Madeleine. The hotel is cozy and nice in its old and still great style and design. Dinner at K&T was very nice 👍 and the breakfast was actually the best surprise with fresh squeezed orange juice (i simply love that and rate hotel 5* just on that small detail). Only one problem during the stay, the sound isolation is very bad (especially the windows) and they should be fixed ASAP. We had a discotheque on the opposite of our room which made sleep quality very poor …
