Clarion Hotel® Gillet
Clarion Hotel Gillet, right in the heart of the city, is a hub of activity, frequented by business travellers, conference delegates, tourists and locals. The Gillet name is a nod to a classic hotel housed in a building dating back to the 1700s.

After a long day of meetings and constructive discussion, even the sharpest business brain needs to unwind! Our wonderful Selma City Spa is the ideal place to recharge your batteries – or kickstart the day. Treat yourself to some time out in our calming retreat. Enjoy the hot tub, unwind in our sauna or sit back and relax in the lounge. We also have a delicious fruit and water buffet to help keep your energy levels up throughout the day! We offer a wide range of beauty treatments, including face masks and massages, so you can both look and feel your best before, during or after your event. For a great workout, head to our gym, which is conveniently located on the conference floor.
If you have some free time in your schedule, take an hour or two to wander around Uppsala. We’re right in the middle of shops, bars and cafés, so you'll find plenty to do right outside our doors. The rushing waters of the river Fyris are only a short walk away – we recommend heading over the river to the nearby Upplandsmuseet. Moments away from the museum you’ll also find the impressive city cathedral, as well as calming parkland to explore.
Our central location with convenient transport links makes us an ideal venue for events that attract international crowds. Our facilities are large and flexible, and equipped with all the latest technology for presentations and multimedia showcases.
Our main Event Room has a standing capacity of 300, or 200 when seated, and is the best option for large talks, conferences or trade shows. The rolling stage and numerous TV sets (which can be interconnected) give you plenty of options.
The Gillesalen room can hold up to 150 people. It includes a water dispenser, a hearing loop, and a headset and microphone for delivering high-quality presentations. A projector is also available.
We have 11 conference rooms for 20-90 participants that are all suitable for seminars and training sessions. If you would like a room with fixed furnishings and armchairs, we recommend our Gustavianum room. Projectors are provided in all the rooms.
Choose the Top Floor if you want the most exclusive space in our hotel. This area is completely separate from the conference area, perfect for important private discussions. In addition, the views of the cathedral and city rooftops are unmatched.
Customise your conference menu and dining options by choosing from our Basic, Some Extra and Let's Go Crazy! menus. We provide a mid-morning and afternoon coffee break free of charge, as well as afternoon snacks.
