Set right in the centre and surrounded by the Svartån, it has shaped the cityscape since the Middle Ages. Here, you can wander among old wooden houses, courtyards, cobbled streets and narrow lanes that together paint a picture of Örebro from the seventeenth to the nineteenth century. Opened in 1965, the area consists of historic buildings that were moved here from different parts of central Örebro to preserve the city’s older built environment and distinctive character.
