Conference hotels and meeting rooms in Drammen

Drammen offers a well-connected setting for meetings and conferences near Oslo, where strong rail links, riverfront city life and varied conference environments support events with both structure and character.

Close to Oslo and with a clear urban identity

Drammen has developed into a key city west of Oslo, with a strong position in the wider capital region. Its location between Oslo, Asker, the Drammenfjord and the surrounding Buskerud area makes it relevant for companies and organisations looking for a meeting destination that is close to the capital, but with its own clear identity.
The city is particularly practical for delegates arriving by train. Drammen Station connects the city with Oslo, regional destinations and Oslo Airport, while the city centre is compact enough for accommodation, meeting facilities, restaurants and social programme elements to stay within easy reach. For conference planners, this creates a destination where arrivals are straightforward and the programme can move without unnecessary transfers.
Drammen’s business context is shaped by regional administration property development, industry, logistics and a growing urban economy. The transformation of the riverfront has also given the city a more active meeting and event environment, especially around central areas such as Union Brygge.

Conference venue and meeting facilities

Conference hotels in Drammen offer a useful spread of meeting environments, from larger conferences with accommodation to smaller workshops, board meetings and training sessions.
Some settings are designed for larger gatherings, where plenary sessions, shared presentations and social breaks need to work together throughout the day. Here, the meeting experience can feel open, energetic and easy to bring people into, with room for both structure and interaction.
Other environments are more urban and streamlined, with a conference setup that is deliberately simple, efficient and easy to manage. Drammen also offers warmer and more characterful surroundings for smaller groups, where proximity, conversation and a more personal rhythm support focused discussions.
Meeting rooms support presentations, workshops and collaborative formats, with flexible layouts, breakout options and technical solutions suited to professional events. This allows planners to choose a conference venue, seminar venue or workshop venue that matches both the scale and the tone of the event.

Corporate events and programme opportunities

Drammen also offers relevant opportunities beyond the meeting room. The riverfront, Union Brygge and central cultural venues make it easy to build social elements into the programme without moving far from the hotel or meeting facilities.
A walk along the river or a hosted cultural element can create natural pauses between sessions and give the programme a stronger local connection.
Restaurants in Drammen support business dinners, making it easy to extend the programme into the evening with a shared culinary experience.
For planners arranging meetings, conferences or corporate events in Norway, Drammen offers a destination where access, urban development and varied meeting formats support programmes that are practical, social and easy to bring together.
