Hotel Admiral

I stayed at The Admiral with my daughter for 7 nights. The staff are professional and friendly, and they provide excellent service. The breakfast was amazing. Location is perfect. Our room was clean and well appointed, although would have loved a coffee machine like many hotels have today.

I treated myself to a solo trip to Copenhagen. I found the Admiral hotel and instantly fell in love. The photos are exactly as expected. I chose the hotel, due to the location and it being close to Nyhavn and other attractions. The hotel was clean, and I felt comfortable and safe. Well worth the money. There is a self check in, but unfortunately didn’t work for me however all the staff are super friendly and happy to help. They gave me a free upgrade - which was a surprise but a lovely gesture. The room has a chrome cast and Bluetooth speakers built into the bathroom. So it feels like a home from home and was so comforting to come back to when travelling alone. Very quiet room, even with building work going on - I didn’t hear a thing. 2 nights went too quickly, I wish I could’ve stayed longer. I unfortunately didn’t get to try the restaurant as I wanted to explore the city instead, but I would try if I came back again.

Location is 10 mins away by walk from the Kongens Nytorv metro station. Plenty of taxis available outside the hotel as well. Bathroom had an interesting Bluetooth speaking which could be used to play audio while you’re in there. Not sure what the building was prior to being a hotel, it has wooden columns and beams passing through and vault like hallways. Our room had a small window overlooking the dock which was quite nice. Beds were comfortable. Overall good stay. Staff was quite responsive late at night as well with slipper requests. It would’ve been nice if they kept dental kits, room slippers etc before hand in the room. They did charge us a 1000 DKK per night as a refundable security deposit which was quite hefty. Room walls seemed pretty thin, we were watching Tv in our room and there was a complain from a neighbouring room regarding the sound. Be prepared to drink water from the bathroom tap, or carry your own. One other thing, while the bathroom shower is nice, it has only half a glass partition and at the same level as the toilet floor, so the toilet area can get quite wet while taking a shower.

I just want to simply start by saying that this hotels location is excellent. Not only is it close to Nyhavn, excellent bakeries, restaurants, train stations, and you can walk/bike anywhere in the city and take in the scenery! It is also far enough away from the more populated tourist areas so you feel a better sense of the local community. The hotel provided warm and welcoming staff, excellent toiletries, an amazingly comfortable bed, and a lovely atmosphere. The hotel also provides a restaurant, room service, and has a daily breakfast option. Someday when we find our way back to Copenhagen we definitely will be back. Our time in Denmark was absolutely wonderful and I can surely understand why the people of Denmark are so happy. Mange tak🇩🇰💕

Booked standard waterfront room. The room is 7.5 feet wide and we struggle to even get past the end of the bed. The photos on booking.com give a completely false impression of the room and of the waterfront view. Not good enough for €230 per night excl breakfast.
