Historic elegance
The hotel is located in the Lichtenberg Palace from 1744, in the heart of Horsens. Here, you are welcomed by a unique atmosphere where more than 250 years of history merge with modern comfort. The palace was built by the successful merchant Gehrdt de Lichtenberg and features beautiful ceiling paintings and preserved historical details. As early as 1749, King Frederick V visited the palace, and the building has operated as a hotel since 1813. You will stay directly on Søndergade, Denmark’s widest pedestrian street, with shops and city life right outside the door. Furthermore, Horsens Station is less than a ten-minute walk away, while Billund Airport is around 40 minutes by car and just over an hour by public transport.
Exceptional dining experiences
At Restaurant Eydes, the dining experience takes centre stage. Seasonal dishes combining the best of Danish and French cuisine are served in atmospheric cellar vaults. During the spring and summer months, you can take a seat on the hotel’s outdoor terrace right on the pedestrian street for a sunny lunch or a coffee after shopping. In the elegant wine bar, a wide selection of wines, craft beers, and cocktails is offered alongside tasty charcuterie – a perfect gathering spot for a relaxing moment with friends or colleagues.
Unique meetings & events
Are you planning a conference, a party, or a wedding? Jørgensens Hotel offers exceptional meeting facilities and conference rooms. Here, your participants can enjoy the combination of historic charm and modern comfort. The venues combine the preserved 18th-century setting with modern technology and can accommodate everything from intimate board meetings to conferences, banquets, and grand celebrations – all customised to your needs.
