Clarion Hotel® Amaranten

It’s always good to be back. Very friendly staff and a welcoming feeling in the lobby. After staying at different hotels in Stockholm, I always find myself back here.

I came on business trip, arrived around 21 with the goal to drink herbal tea and go sleep. Next day agenda 8-22. In the room there was no teapot, so I went down to reception, asked, came back, waited 15 min and someone brought teapot. Power sockets were not working, so teapot not working, mobile charger not working. I went down again, asked for other room. It took a while and I got. Unpacked, changed clothes, wanted to remove makeup but washbasin not working, water going down on the floor. I changed clothes, went down to reception and wanted normal room. I was so stressed, it was very late, lady came to see the room and said: we will fix tomorrow! How to use room without washbasin!? A joke. I wanted to talk to manager and a new room with working water and power -basics. Finally I got, had to move all things again. It was very late and until 2am I was shaking, cant sleep. Next day I was sleepy and tried to survive on leadership meeting with my managers. Very unproffesional to come in such state. I have such meetings only twice a year! This is less than touristic class hotel.

I was disturbed the whole night due to a very noice banging noice coming from the radiator the whole night. Was really looking forward to a good nights rest due to a working trip. At check-out I let the receptionist know about my experience and was given a breakfast-voucher as compensation. I will have no use of this voucher what so ever. When you book a hotel-room, breakfast is included. And also, where I come from there are no Clarion or Strawberry-hotels near-by. Very disappointed

not far away to the city center-15 minutes walk maximum, breakfast buffet extremely fresh with a lot of choices, big room, Ritual products in the bathroom

This hotel did not cost too much to book so we were unsure what to expect when we arrived, especially as the building from the outside is not the nicest. However, the hotel interior was very fancy and well kept, and the rooms were the same. They were very spacious with classic rooms but modern bathrooms. The beds were huge and there was a big sofa in the room too. Overall a very pleasant stay and I wish I could’ve stayed there longer.
