On 19 November 2024, Spenn will replace our traditional bonus points system, and you will no longer be able to earn bonus points.

Any bonus points that you have already earned from Strawberry will still be available for use until 31 December 2025. From 19 November 2024, you'll still be able to keep any existing bonus points you have collected, while earning Spenn on all new purchases from then onwards. You can also convert your bonus points into gift cards to pay for hotel stays, restaurant meals and spa visits. Gift cards can be purchased using bonus points until 31 December 2025, and they will be valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. So, if you still have bonus points to purchase gift cards on 31 December 2025, you'll be able to use them until 31 December 2027.

Yes, you can still use the bonus points you have earned to purchase gift cards, which can then be used to pay for hotel stays, restaurant meals and spa visits. Gift cards can be purchased using bonus points until 31 December 2025, and they will be valid for 24 months from the date of purchase. Gift cards can be purchased with 2,500 to 100,000 points per transaction. You can buy gift cards with your bonus points here. If you have less than 2,500 points, please contact Customer Services for assistance.

You can pay for an overnight stay using your Spenn, a so-called Superdeal, once you have enough Spenn on your account. You can also use your Spenn as partial payment, as long as there are rooms available at the hotel.

From 19 November 2024, you will only be able to use Spenn to pay for hotel stays with us. But stay tuned – there are lots of exciting new possibilities coming in 2025!

From 19 November 2024, you'll get one qualifying night per hotel night, regardless of whether you've paid for it with money, bonus points, or Spenn as full or partial payment*. The number of qualifying nights determines your membership level. The more qualifying nights you have within the membership period, the higher your membership level and the more benefits you get.

Higher levels of membership are attainable via qualifying nights. You receive one qualifying night per overnight stay (certain exceptions apply – read the Terms & Conditions here). You need 5 qualifying nights during a membership period for Silver-level membership, 30 nights for Gold and 60 nights for Platinum.

Relax! You'll retain your level of membership during the current membership period and you'll still be able to move up a level via qualifying nights.

If your membership period starts between December and September, we will calculate what you would have had at the end of your membership period based on the points you have already earned during the period. If this calculation shows that you would have reached the same level or a higher level than today at the end of the period, you will already receive this level automatically as early as 19 November 2024. You will then retain this level for both the current and the following membership period.

NB! This does not apply to members whose membership period starts in October or November, where qualifying nights will determine your membership level from 19 November 2024.

You can still use your existing bonus points throughout 2025 in order to claim bonus nights with the points you have earned via offers and deals from Strawberry. If you have any points left after 31 December 2025, these can be used to purchase gift cards for hotel stays, restaurant meals and spa visits. You'll now be able to use Spenn to book stays in all room categories, either as full or partial payment, giving you greater flexibility and allowing you to decide how to pay for a stay.

Previously, your Lifetime status has been based on all the points you have earned with us since you became a member. It will now instead be determined by the total number of years you have had Gold or Platinum membership (not necessarily consecutive years). In order to reach Lifetime status, you will need a total of 8 membership periods as a Gold or Platinum member. If you have already reach Lifetime Gold or Lifetime Platinum status, you will of course keep this. If you have not reach Lifetime status yet, your Lifetime points will be recalculated into membership periods with Gold and/or Platinum status.

The partnership with Trumf is greatly valued by our members. Therefore, it will still be possible to convert Trumf into bonus points until 31 December 2025, for use as normal throughout 2025. At the same time, we're working hard to find new solutions for the partnership from 2026 onwards, and we'll make sure to inform members in the respective membership programmes about any such solutions in good time.
