How to get around

Getting from your hotel in Copenhagen to your venue is easy, and Rejseplanen is Denmark’s main public transport journey planner for finding the best route. Use it to find connections by train, metro, bus or harbour bus.

Many venues are near the metro lines, here you find the routes and timetables each line:

Hotels near Royal Arena

Danish architects 3XN gave Royal Arena its Scandinavian character, while concert audiences of up to 17,000 give it its voice. International concert tours, comedy, musicals and major sporting events draw crowds to this part of Ørestad in southern Copenhagen. You can take a direct train from Copenhagen Central Station or the airport to Ørestad Station, followed by about 10 minutes’ walk to the arena.

Hotels near Parken Stadium

Known locally simply as “Parken”, Denmark’s national stadium brings crowds to Østerbro for football matches and concert singalongs alike. A sliding roof can turn the stadium into a covered arena, making room for events far beyond football. Home to F.C. Copenhagen, Parken has hosted both men’s and women’s internationals, as well as concerts by some of music’s biggest names.

The M3 metro takes you from the city centre to Trianglen or Vibenshus Runddel, both around 600 metres from the stadium, while buses 1A and 14 also stop at Trianglen. Nordhavn is one of the nearest S-train stations, with a walk of around 1.5 km to Parken.

Hotels near Refshaleøen

Poolen, Hangaren & COPENHELL

What was once a shipbuilding site on Refshaleøen is now home to COPENHELL, Denmark’s largest rock and metal festival, alongside warehouse concerts, raves and club nights at Poolen and electronic music at Hangaren.

Bus 2A runs from Copenhagen Central Station via Christianshavn to Refshaleøen, while harbour buses connect Nyhavn with the area. For Poolen, allow around 9 minutes’ walk from the bus terminus or 15 minutes from the harbour bus stop. If you are heading to COPENHELL, check the festival’s current transport information for additional buses and harbour bus services.

Hotels near DR Koncerthuset

Behind DR Koncerthuset’s recognisable blue façade, music takes on a different character in each of its concert halls. Jean Nouvel’s architecture and acoustics by Yasuhisa Toyota create the setting for performances ranging from the Danish National Symphony Orchestra to jazz, pop and family concerts.

The M1 metro is the direct line from the city centre, and from the nearest station, DR Byen, it is only a few minutes’ walk to the entrance.

Hotels near Forum

From motor shows and six-day cycling races to concerts, exhibitions and markets, Forum has played many roles since opening in Frederiksberg in 1926. The scale of the hall is part of its appeal: one night it can be filled with live music, the next with stands, stages or crowds browsing a fair.

The metro station and bus stop next to the venue both bear the Forum name. The station is served by the M1 and M2, while bus 2A runs directly between Hovedbanegården, Tivoli and Forum.
