Why at airport hotels?

The answer is simple: The areas around airports have a firework ban within several miles. In addition, the windows at these hotels are extra soundproof, making them a safe and peaceful place to celebrate New Year’s Eve.

  • An exclusive experience

You and your dog will be treated to something special from the moment you check in. Picture being welcomed on a red carpet and receiving a goodie bag to kick off your stay in style.

  • The hotel tempts with a selection of delicious dinner dishes – and yes, at some hotels your dog can even join you at the table!

  • Mirja Braun, General Manager at Clarion Hotel® Arlanda Airport Terminal, explains that together with its partners, the hotel offers a programme full of exciting activities such as agility, rally obedience, scent training and other fun classes.

“We have guests who have celebrated New Year’s Eve with their four-legged friends here for several years, and it makes us truly happy to see that it’s become a tradition.”

  • Dogcation has become so popular that even more hotels within Strawberry have embraced the concept.

  • “The interest has grown significantly, and at Clarion Hotel® Arlanda Airport Terminal, 250 of our 430 rooms are reserved as a safe haven for dogs – and they sell out every year,” says Braun.

  • “We want to make New Year’s Eve a memorable experience that our guests with pets can look forward to – and we’ve succeeded in doing so.”

  • All pets are welcome

General Manager Braun explains that it’s not only tail-wagging guests checking in on New Year’s Eve. In the past, the hotel has welcomed cats, a parrot – and yes, even a hedgehog!
