Stratum Suites by Bernadotte & Kylberg at Clarion Hotel® Sign
On the top floor of Clarion Hotel® Sign, Stratum Suites are opening – three new signature suites created in close collaboration between the hotel and Bernadotte & Kylberg.
The new design destination at the heart of Stockholm
In spring 2025, Clarion Hotel® Sign and Bernadotte & Kylberg began a collaboration aimed at creating a distinctive and memorable design experience. Designed by Gert Wingårdh, the hotel has been a Scandinavian design icon from the very beginning, featuring classics from names such as Arne Jacobsen, Fritz Hansen and Alvar Aalto. The brief for Bernadotte & Kylberg was clear: to add a new, timeless layer to the hotel’s already powerful design DNA.
Stratum Collection
The result is the Stratum Collection – an entirely new furniture collection created exclusively for Clarion Hotel® Sign and produced in Sweden.
The collection, which includes a sofa, armchair, coffee table, desk and chair, will make its world debut on 3 December in the hotel’s three newly refurbished top-floor suites.
The suites’ holistic design
As part of the launch, the design duo has also created the complete interior concept for the suites, where every detail has been shaped with inspiration drawn from the city beyond the windows and the building’s architecture.
Stratum Suites by Bernadotte & Kylberg is therefore both a tribute to Stockholm and to the architectural soul of Clarion Hotel® Sign.
Art, architecture and light
Every piece of furniture has been crafted with the same precision as an architectural work – inspired by the building’s triangular structure, the city’s horizon and the shifting light throughout the day.
The city’s energy meets the suite’s stillness. Design and art shape a new expression for Clarion Hotel® Sign – and for Stockholm. The material palette is carefully curated:
Magnum Brown – grounding and strength
Warm Grey – balance and refined elegance
Blue Grey – city water and dusk light
Deepening the hotel’s design identity
Clarion Hotel® Sign, designed by Gert Wingårdh, has been a hub for Nordic design since the day it opened. With Stratum Suites, a new dimension is now being added.
Stratum Suites marks the next step in the design expression to Clarion Hotel® Sign – created to refine and strengthen the hotel’s identity for the future.
