The story behind the hotel
Now is your chance to spend the night in the historic brick building next to Örebro Castle. The building’s walls hide memories dating back to 1891, and many believe traces of the past still linger within them.
Over the years, numerous stories have emerged – and the cellar is a place where many hesitate to enter alone. Some say they have felt watched, experienced a "heavy" atmosphere, or encountered unexplained events in this part of the fortress.
A medium recently visited the fortress to investigate whether there was any truth to these claims – and she got more than she bargained for. After heavy footsteps, faces appearing in the rooms, a constant feeling of being watched in the cellar, and a giggling little boy in the hallways, she was able to confirm that the fortress is indeed haunted...
So the question remains: do you dare spend the night here on Halloween – and will you sense anything unusual?

What is Spookcation?
The Spookcation Hotel is an experience for the adventurous who love all things Halloween. Enter for your chance to win a unique and completely free hotel stay, guaranteed to put your courage to the test.
A total of 11 winners will be selected across 10 unique hotels (including two separate winners for Dalen Hotel). You may register for as many rooms as you like, but each participant can only win once.
Each winner is welcome to bring one guest.
When does the hotel stay take place?
The prize stay takes place from October 31 to November 1, 2026. Late check-out at 14:00 on Sunday Nov 1 is included for all hotels (except Dalen Hotel, where check-out is at 12:00). Please note that the stay date cannot be changed.
How will the winners be announced?
Winners will be contacted by phone on October 26 or 27, using the number provided when entering. Keep an eye out for a call from an unfamiliar number!
