Meetings close to Helsinki with space to focus

Espoo works well for meetings that benefit from being close to both Helsinki and Helsinki Airport without taking place in the centre of the capital. The city forms part of the wider innovation corridor of the Helsinki region, with areas such as Otaniemi — home to Aalto University and a strong concentration of research and technology organisations — giving it a clear business and knowledge-driven profile.
For conference planners, this creates real value. Arrivals are straightforward, public transport is well integrated across the region, and the meeting itself can take place in a setting that feels calmer and more contained than central Helsinki.

Conference venue and meeting facilities

Conference hotels in Espoo are best suited to smaller and mid-sized gatherings where simplicity, pace and practicality matter. The meeting format here is more streamlined and urban: easy to organise, easy to navigate and well matched to seminars, workshops and training sessions.
Meeting rooms support both presentations and collaborative work, with flexible layouts, breakout options and audiovisual solutions suited to professional events. Hybrid meetings can also be arranged when some participants join remotely.

Corporate events and programme opportunities

Espoo also offers more beyond the meeting room than many business-focused destinations. The city combines business districts with coastline, lakes and access to Nuuksio National Park, giving planners scope to include walks, light outdoor activities or waterside networking without overcomplicating the programme.
For evening programmes, restaurants in Helsinki make it easy to extend the day. For planners arranging meetings in Finland, Espoo offers a destination where airport access, efficiency and nature come together in a more focused format.
