Unique moments at St. George
At the Hotel St. George, art, design and wellbeing work together in creating a unique take on luxury. The historic building, designed in 1840 by Onni Tarjanne, is home to exquisite works of art and classic Nordic design, and the hotel offers services dedicated to promoting your wellbeing.
Wellbeing for a happier, healthier life
Wellbeing is at the core of the Hotel St. George. Our spa, St. George Care, offers luxurious spa treatments and massages, and is holistically connected to all of our hotel services. Guests can evaluate their sleep quality with an Emfit QS sleep monitor and even get customised advice from our nutrition consultant.
The Hintsa Performance concept was developed by Dr. Aki Hintsa. According to Hintsa, we should try to live better lives by making the right choices in everyday life. Rest, good sleep, adequate exercise, healthy nutrition and mental energy all affect this balance.
At the Hotel St. George, we've turned Hintsa's philosophy into a reality. Our goal is to help you make the choices that lead to discovering the path towards a healthier life.
An art gallery in a hotel
With nearly 400 works of art in our hotel rooms and public spaces, art is quite literally all around you at the Hotel St. George. Our collection consists of commissioned pieces such as Pekka Jylhä's Learning to Fly and Klaus Haapaniemi's Lightnings in Tiger Woods in the Wintergarden, as well as striking graphics by early Finnish abstractionists. Chinese contemporary artist Ai Wei Wei's Tianwu, a soaring white dragon, greets guests in the entrance gallery.
Food and entertainment
We have two restaurants, and an in-house bakery with a café. Our Wintergarden is a great venue for both for smaller meetings and celebrations, as well as larger events for up to 130 people. There's always something going on a the St. George with things like live music evenings, book club meetings and yoga classes. Top chef Tomi Björck's restaurant Boon Nam serves delicious dishes made using the most popular and tasty flavours from Thailand. Bon Nam is located on the ground floor of the Hotel St.George.
Timeless design classics
Our design language is inspired by timeless Nordic classics. Thoughtful design details, which reflect the abstract lines of the rooms' graphic arts and the architectural elements of the building, help to create the Hotel St. George's harmonious and soothing ambiance.
