Hotel Brosundet

The location was excellent and the service was top-notch. Highly recommended, whether it's for business or pleasure. All in all, a positive impression :)

Lovely hotel in Alesund. The room was clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed the lounge area that was still available for a cocktail at 10:30pm with its beautiful fireplace. The breakfast spread was vast and quite good. We found the staff to be quite friendly. They did not seem to be informed on the puffin sighting situation in Runde Island (2 hours away recommended by many blogs as a great day trip from Alesund). We almost didn’t go based on their knowledge but luckily a local tour agent said his guide had seen them just that week and it was amazing! If you’re driving, expect to walk 4-5 blocks to their parking lot (drop your luggage off first). It is an additional fee. We walked the 418 steps path to see a spectacular view of Alesund from the top. You can also drive up! Try not to travel during the 4pm rush hour. It gets quite congested. Overall even with a couple of small downsides , I would recommend this hotel if in the area.

We stayed at Hotel Brosundet during the Easter holidays. We felt welcome and relaxed from the minute we arrived until checkout. Lovely breakfast, fireplace, wellness area and employees. We are coming back.

Exellent staff Restaurant was very good . Staff inn resuarant understanding and polite. Very good klippfisk.

Best hotel in Ålesund! Very cozy with a huge fireplace and lounge on the ground floor and a great spa with sauna with a view over the bay and a pier where you can dive into the sea. The breakfast is ok, and the hotel restaurant is also very good, with a lot of nice bars and restaurants in very close walking distance. Great service and very clean rooms. Highly recommended!
