Historic parrot room

Some rooms boast an interesting history! Back in the 1930s, a sailor checked in to the Reenskaug Hotel with a feathered companion – Petra the Parrot! Having spent her early days in a shabby Liverpudlian bar, she was able to say words in four languages and her vocabulary was rather colourful to say the least! When the sailor ran out of money, he paid for his accommodation with Petra, and the hotel's animal-loving owner gave her a permanent home in the reception. Today, her memory lives on in the Parrot Room, one of the many unique rooms here at the hotel.
