Halden is a charming town with cobbled streets, river promenades and a popular guest harbour – here you have a beautiful archipelago on one side, and large forests and lakes on the other. Halden's main tourist attraction, Fredriksten Fortress, is also nearby, and the Via Ferrata Halden Canal with Europe's longest suspension bridge is a wonderful place to walk. Rød Manor, dating back to the early 18th century is the perfect place to enjoy a stroll in idyllic surroundings.
