The hotel is within walking distance of Haugesund's wonderful cultural attractions with numerous cafés, shops and eateries all around. If you fancy a walk, we recommend you to visit the Amanda statue, the pink town hall, and the wonderful library park. There are boats departing from right outside the hotel allowing you to head out to discover the beautiful islands of Røvær, Feøy, and Vibrandstøy. You’ll also find four golf courses in the area. Haugesund is situated in stunning natural surroundings, with excellent roads for cycling as far as the Hardangerfjord or Jostedalsbreen.

A homely & historic setting

The hotel is named after the Amanda Award, an annual award presented at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund. The hotel is the perfect place to stay during this annual film festival. Come on in and discover the hotel’s unique interior design with plenty of artefacts depicting cinematic history, including numerous photographs of famous actors on the walls. You’re sure to feel right at home here with breakfast, afternoon fika and dinner served here at the hotel. The building dates back to 1903 and served as a hotel until the 1950s, before being turned into offices. Since 1989, it has once again been home to a hotel.

The hotel has several conference rooms providing the ideal setting to let your ideas flourish. The gym features a range of equipment including free weights, treadmills and yoga mats. Cycling enthusiasts may enjoy the two Tacx rollers. For those who prefer to exercise outdoors, just ask the reception about tips for local jogging routes! And at the end of a busy day, you can just go ahead and unwind body and mind in the wellness area. There is parking here at the hotel for those arriving by car.
