The hotel is centrally located right in the heart of Kristiansund, with the harbour and the bus station at Torget just a stone's throw from the hotel, and Kristiansund Airport Kvernberget less than 15 minutes' drive away. The city is spread over four islands – Kirkelandet, Innlandet, Nordlandet and Gomalandet – and it's easy to get around on the Sundbåten boats. This beautiful coastal town is well-known for its clipfish, a kind of salted cod, and you can learn all about it at the Norwegian Clipfish Museum on the Milnbrygga wharf. We also recommend you to visit one of the many fish restaurants near the hotel for a memorable dining experience! Kristiansund's stunning natural surroundings make the city and the hotel an ideal stop along the Atlantic Ocean Road, regardless of whether you're travelling by car or on a Hurtigruten cruise ship. There are lots of hiking trails all around the city, such as Havstien, and you can get some great views of the local surroundings from Varden, Freikollen and Bremsneshatten.
