Quality Hotel™ Skjærgården is a gem of a hotel situated on the outermost island in Langesund's glorious archipelago in Telemark. With a huge water park and conference spaces inside, and sea water and beach vibes right outside the door, the hotel is perfect for both families and those travelling for business. Welcome to Norway's tropical paradise!

Idyllic Langesund

The hotel is just a walk or a short drive away from Langesund - a coastal city with maritime traditions dating back to 1570. In the summers, the city comes alive with activities and concerts, and many say it has the most sunny days of any city in Norway. You'll also find Wrightegaarden, the city's arts centre and concert venue, with its charming back patio. The hotel is easily accessible via bus, using either TIMEkspressen or Sørlandeskpressent routes to Rugtvedt - from there it takes just 5 minutes by taxi. The local bus stop, Badeparken, is just a few minutes' walk away. The closest airport is Oslo Torp, 45 minutes away by car, or for those coming by train, Porsgrunn is the nearest station. From there the local bus can take you to the hotel.

Hotel for children

This is the Kids' Hotel, which means that children are always welcome and are always the focus of everything we do on staff. You'll find activities for both young as well as older children, and on weekends and school holidays, there's always something happening at the hotel that will make your days fly by and ensure you're ready for a great night's rest. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, you can meet our mascots, Lollo & Bernie at the hotel, ready to guide you through fun activities, mini-disco, and performances.

Water park

The hotel has a 4000 m2 large water park, and with 31 degree water throughout the whole year, it's the closest you can get to a tropical paradise in Norway. The water park is a popular weekend activity in the winter - and a refuge for those on holiday when the summer weather doesn't arrive as expected. When the summer days are shining bright, we have (of course) an outdoor pool to enjoy. Admission is included in the price of your hotel stay. The hotel also offers conference options for large and small groups, with a large conference room and multiple meeting rooms in a variety of sizes.
