Home Hotel Gabelshus is beautifully situated in lovely surroundings in Oslo’s Frogner neighbourhood within easy reach of a number of shops, bars and restaurants, as well as Oslo’s newest hotspot, Solli Plass. You’ll feel right at home here at the hotel in Frogner, one of Oslo's most beautiful neighbourhoods. Surrounded by beautiful villas and historic buildings, you’ll also be conveniently situated just a few minutes from Solli Plass and Aker Brygge, Oslo’s liveliest areas, with numerous shops, bars and restaurants. You’ll also find bus and tram stops near the hotel in case you wish to head off and explore Oslo’s many attractions. Despite being so close to the city centre, the hotel provides a tranquil setting for rest, relaxation and a great night’s sleep!

Home Hotel Gabelshus oozes charm with wonderful antique furniture and warm textiles. Enjoy a nice cup of tea in front of the fireplace, have a drink on the terrace or an afternoon snack! Business travellers can head to the library to get some work done in a unique setting. The hotel boasts a long history going back more than a hundred years, having originally been constructed as a guesthouse. It has since been fully modernised, while still maintaining beautiful historic details. Sofie Sommerfeldt, who ran the hotel during the early twentieth century, resided here with her two free-flying parrots, and you’ll find plenty of reminders of this era in today’s interior design. Like Sommerfeldt, our hope is that all our guests will feel right at home here!

Are you planning a teambuilding event or a big event with your whole company? We have two large conference halls and several small meeting rooms that can be adapted to suit your needs. We’ll provide all the necessary technical equipment, as well as excellent food and drink to keep your guests brimming with energy all day long!
