Go shopping along Karl Johan's Street or Majorstuen, enjoy restaurants and bars in the Grünerløkka neighbourhood, check out the museums at Bygdøy or enjoy an ice cream cone on Aker Brygga with the kids. If you take the underground in the opposite direction, Oslomarka nature area offers amazing opportunities for hikes and nature walks. Most things are just a half-hour away from the hotel doors. If you're travelling far, the airport shuttle bus goes straight to Oslo airport, the stop just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.

From industrial district to social hub

Økern has quickly grown from being a farming and industrial district in the 1950s, and the district continues to further develop the surrounding area into a social hub. The hotel is a part of this evolution, and showcases its industrial history with the use of exposed aggregate concrete combined with modern interior design. Originally built to house the 4,000 employees working at Standard Telephone and Cable Factory, the hotel houses a variety of hotel room types, a gym, the kiosk Lounge 24, a large conference centre, and The Social Bar & Bistro on the top floor, with carefully crafted dishes for all ages. The restaurant appeared on the TV show "First Date," and has become a popular meeting hub for both locals and visitors.
