At the grand Dalen Hotel, built in 1894, legend has it that “The English Lady” still wanders the halls. The story goes that a young British woman, pregnant at the time, stayed here in the early 1900s. After she left, staff discovered a dead child in her room. Not long after, the woman herself passed away – and many believe her spirit returned to the hotel to be with her lost child.
Guests who have stayed in Room 17, where she once slept, tell of icy chills, the sound of a baby crying, and the shadowy figure of a woman drifting through the corridors. The hotel’s dramatic setting makes the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable – and truly chilling – Halloween experience.
