This Halloween, you can win a stay at Home Hotel Gabelshus – for you and a fearless friend.
Behind its beautiful facade, the hotel hides a history that still lingers in the walls. In room 501, the spirit of Dr. Riekeles – the husband of the hotel’s third manager – is said to appear. Known as a notorious flirt, he is especially sensed by young women, who have reported a cold presence, like an invisible hand on their neck. Guests and staff have also witnessed unexplained events: doors opening on their own, carts moving without cause, and footsteps echoing in empty rooms.
For the truly brave, a visit awaits to the infamous attic in the Ritz building – a place so unsettling that even staff avoid it. After that, a night in room 501 – but we can’t promise you’ll get any sleep.

What is Spookcation?
Spookcation is an experience for those who are adventurous and love all the scary things Halloween entails. Now you have the chance to win a unique and completely free hotel experience that is guaranteed to put your brave side to the test.
There are a total of 8 unique rooms to compete for, and 8 lucky winners will be chosen – one for each room. You can register for as many rooms as you like, but you can only win one of them.
For those who feel a little extra brave, Dalen Hotel and Home Hotel Bilan are for you. At these two hotels, we take the spooky experience to the next level.
When does the hotel stay take place?
The stay takes place from October 31 to November 1, 2025, with check-out on November 1. The date of the stay cannot be changed.
How will the winners be announced?
The winners will be notified via the provided phone number during week 43.
Is dinner included?
Yes, if you win, dinner for two people is included at all hotels.
