Meetings in a city of research and reflection

Uppsala is one of Sweden’s most historic academic centres and an established hub for research, education and innovation. Located just north of Stockholm, the city combines intellectual heritage with modern infrastructure, making it a practical setting for meetings, seminars and professional gatherings.
For conference planners, Uppsala combines accessibility with a calm and walkable city centre. Trains connect Uppsala with Stockholm in around forty minutes, while Stockholm Arlanda Airport can be reached in less than twenty minutes by rail. This makes the city easy to reach for both international delegates and participants travelling from across Sweden.

Conference venue and meeting facilities

Conference hotels in Uppsala offer professional meeting environments suited to workshops, seminars, training sessions and conferences. Meeting rooms include well-equipped audiovisual solutions, adaptable layouts and breakout spaces that support both presentations and smaller discussions. Hybrid meetings are also widely supported, enabling organisations to combine in-person participation with remote attendees when needed.
Across the city, venues support gatherings ranging from smaller executive meetings to conferences of several hundred participants. This flexibility makes Uppsala well suited to seminar programmes, leadership meetings and professional workshops where a focused setting supports productive discussion.

Corporate events and programme opportunities

Uppsala also offers appealing options for corporate events and executive retreats. The city’s historic streets, riverside setting and cultural institutions provide a distinctive backdrop for networking and informal programme elements alongside the meeting agenda.
Spa facilities at conference hotels in the city can add value for multi-day programmes, offering participants the opportunity to relax and recharge between or after sessions. This balance between productive meetings and time to recover can be particularly valuable for leadership meetings or smaller conferences with accommodation.
Restaurants also support business dinners and informal networking, making it easy to extend the programme beyond the meeting room.
For planners arranging corporate events in Sweden, Uppsala offers a meeting destination where accessibility, academic atmosphere and professional meeting facilities combine to support focused and well-organised events.
