This family-owned restaurant started its business in 1982 as a fish and crafts trade for 1997 to change to the current concept. If you are looking for seafood delicacies at a good price, then this is definitely the place for you. At Hambergs they put a lot of love into their cooking, focusing mainly on top quality raw materials. Try everything from lean salmon and halibut to a luxurious seafood platter.

At Odinslund 3 – a few minutes from Clarion Hotel Gillet – you will find the highly regarded Villa Anna. Asian food in general and Thai food in particular has grown to become a favourite of the Nordic population. On Upper Slottsgatan 12, in the district of Fjärdingen, you will find Koh Phangan. 6. Aaltos – a flavour of Italy

On Sysslomansgatan 14, between the pillars of Alvar Aalto’s famous house, you will find Aaltos Grill & Garden. Here you will find a wonderful meeting place surrounded by greenery and with an Italian grill in the centre – inspired by the native Finnish architect and his love of Italy and the Renaissance. The smells and flavours from the charcoal grill go together perfectly with Italian wines and grappa. The restaurant is a good choice for those looking for a social restaurant with good Italian food of a slightly higher price range.

7. Peppar Peppar – elegant and rustic

Just a stone’s throw from Uppsala central station and 10 minutes from Clarion Hotel Gillet you will find Peppar Peppar. Enjoy classic, square meals with French influences in a charming old brick building from the mid 1800’s. The style is elegant and rustic – both the interior and the menu. Peppar Peppar has for many years been voted a favourite amongst the city’s pubs. In addition, another really big plus is that the restaurant has many tasty vegetarian options.

8.Vibrantly good at distinguished Flustret

By Svandammen and Stadsträdgården is the distinguished Flustret – one of Uppsala’s oldest entertainment establishments. As early as 1842, Flustret was built as a pavilion building where pastries and fine spirits were served. Today, dinners, conferences, calendars, concerts, Christmas parties and other events are organised here. In addition, it is a popular nightclub and obvious choice for anyone who would like to extend their dinner to a full night out. Perhaps the Fluster is at its best during the summer months with its lovely view of the green city park, pleasant music and delicious dinners right from the grill.

Where: Flustret is located on Flustergränd 5 and is next to both Svandammen and Stadsträdgården.
