1. Experiences in the green heart of Uppsala

Uppsala offers tranquillity and lush surroundings right in the middle of city life. Follow the Fyrisån River as it winds through the city centre, and take a break in Uppsala City Garden (Stadsträdgården), where blooming flowerbeds, cosy cafés and small events bring life and atmosphere to the park. Continue along Svartbäcksgatan to one of Uppsala’s many classic cafés – such as the traditional Güntherska or the charming Café Linné. Don’t miss the Linnaeus Garden (Linnéträdgården) either – a botanical haven that serves as a living reminder of Carl von Linné’s legacy, where you can wander among the plants and enjoy a peaceful pause between the city’s many historical sights.

End your journey in Old Uppsala, home to the famous royal burial mounds that stand as powerful reminders of the myths and might of the Viking Age.
