1. Pelle Svanslös' Playground

In the heart of Carolinaparken lies Pelle Svanslös' Playground – one of Uppsala’s most beloved playgrounds, inspired by Gösta Knutsson’s tales of the cat Pelle Svanslös. Children can climb between miniature houses, towers and slides, while adults enjoy a touch of nostalgia. The playground is free to visit and open all year round.

2. Fyrishov

One of Sweden’s largest water parks is located in Uppsala – Fyrishov. Here, you and your family can enjoy water slides, fountains, splash cannons and heated pools – plus outdoor swimming in summer. It’s the perfect place for days when the children want excitement and play, while the adults can relax in the sauna. Fyrishov is just ten minutes from central Uppsala by bus or car and is open all year round.

3. Old Uppsala

Take the children on a journey a thousand years back in time. In Gamla Uppsala, the mighty Royal Mounds rise – burial mounds from the Viking Age that spark both imagination and curiosity. 5. Fjällnora

About 30 minutes from central Uppsala lies Fjällnora Nature Reserve – an area with lakes, forests, barbecue spots and adventure courses.
