If Stockholm's shops can’t slake your thirst for shopping, you can jump on the blue line of the subway in the other direction and check out the large shopping centre Mall of Scandinavia, just over 20 minutes from Clarion Hotel Amaranten.

Clarion Hotel® Amaranten is the perfect starting point for your Stockholm visit. After just 10 minutes on foot, you are at Stockholm stadshus (City Hall), a popular and highly visited attraction in Stockholm. Here is also where there are boats that go out to the archipelago of Stockholm daily - perfect for a day trip! Stroll along Norr Mälarstrand (the beach) and enjoy the beautiful view of Södermalm and all of Riddarfjärden's boats. If you are looking for a longer walk, it takes only about 2 hours to walk around the entire Kungsholmen, which is beautifully surrounded by water.

Bathing spots on Kungsholmen

Kungsholmen is a real treasure trove for those who long for a relaxing dip, but do not have the opportunity to go to Stockholm archipelago. There are bathing places here for all tastes and needs! Smedsuddsbadet is close to Rålambshovsparken and is perfect for families with children as it has a large beach, a grass green and pier, while Fredhällsbadet offers lovely, but slightly harder to reach cliffs near Kristineberg underground. Hornsberg beach is popular and offers a European atmosphere with a long promenade on the quay and many bathing trails down to the water!
