Like our hotels, Stockholm is a little unique. Similar but different. Both traditional and hypermodern. Crowded and calm. Cheerful and chaotic, all at once. The Swedish capital offers an opportunity to spend your time exactly the way you want to. Experience everything in one weekend and catch up on your sleep later, or relax in a restaurant as evening fades into night.

Winter in Stockholm
Winter in Stockholm is extra special with newly fallen snow on the streets.

In Stockholm’s various districts and quarters you can walk, shop and see the sights – or simply grab a coffee and do some people-watching. Eat, drink and dance at countless restaurants, bars and inns, or enjoy a concert, a flea market, the opera or some stand-up comedy. If you want to see the city from a different angle, jump on a boat and head out to the islands. You can also take a boat to the Gröna Lund amusement park in Djurgården.

Summer nights on top of the city

Do you fancy a late night far above the rooftops, watching the sun go down over the city? Take a trip up to Restaurant Himlen, located at the top of the Skrapan skyscraper in central Södermalm. Another wonderful oasis is also found in this part of the city. High up in Södermalm, Mosebacketerrassen affords wonderful views of Gamla Stan and Djurgården. There are several small service areas here along with a whole heap of long tables, around which people gather in summer to enjoy the last rays of sun over a barbecue and local beer.

In Stockholm you can visit the standard tourist venues and popular attractions, or go on a hunt for your own favourites. The Swedes have a word for this: a smultronställe is a favourite place that isn’t necessarily easy for others to find.

Several hotel favorites in Stockholm

Speaking of new favourites, maybe you’ll find one in the form of a hotel? Strawberry has many hotels in the centre of Stockholm. If you like a bustling atmosphere, such as after-work drinks in the bar, events featuring DJs and restaurants in which the laughter is as good as the menu, we reckon you’ll like Clarion Hotel® Amaranten, Clarion Hotel® Sign and Clarion Hotel® Stockholm.

Would you rather stay in a hotel with well-thought-out design, unique hotel rooms and stylish restaurants? Spend a night at Hotel C Stockholm or Nordic Light Hotel. These are right across the street from one another, and you can also check them out without staying there. Try eating dinner at Nordic Light Hotel’s LYKKE & Löjromsbaren, followed by an ice cold drink at Hotel C’s ICEBAR, where it’s -7°C and even your glass is made of ice.
